For the annual calendar of Perrakis Papers we used paper as a design medium. Using folding as a vehicle, we exploited the unique property of the material to transform from an indifferent surface into a unique relief of creases and edges. For the new year yet to be written, we folded a large piece of paper into a grid of 12 blank canvases, one for each month, which the reader fills with thoughts, dreams and experiences as the new year unfolds before them. By applying different folds to a variety of papers we highlight the uniqueness of the material and capture the fluidity of the future time. "Unknown and undefined, the future fills us with meaning, thoughts and experiences. 12 months, 12 empty containers will be filled moment by moment, unfolding today into tomorrow."
